Tuesday Breakfast Notes #48

Busy Week

Watercolor painting of 3 little girls dressed as lambs

Yet I still belong to you; you hold my right hand.

Psalms 73:23 NLT

Stephen was gone last week. Our washer and dryer both kicked the can right before he left. Our laundry has been washed and dried in 3 locations since.

Sylvia was sick and stayed home from school a day. On the same day I had a class scheduled and couldn’t be home with her (thanks Mom). (During the same week Stephen was gone and we couldn’t do the laundry.)

Thursday I took the girls to school and went into the office. Then I went to Kroger to get a few groceries where I noticed, as leaving, that I was wearing Stephen’s slippers. (During the same week Stephen was gone, we couldn’t do the laundry, I had a class, and Sylvia was sick.)

Ellie hardly slept at all on Thursday night and woke up in tears on Friday. (During the same week Stephen was gone, we couldn’t do the laundry, I had a class, Sylvia was sick and I wore slippers to the store….)

Last week was a lot. Some weeks are. I just laughed at the whole thing when I looked down at my feet in the Kroger parking lot; at least his slippers have rubber soles! This week might be a lot, too; it hasn’t told me yet.

I hope you can find something to laugh at, and remember that God still has you, when your week is a lot, too.
